My husband and I first visited Old Mesilla, New Mexico on our honeymooon. That was seven years ago and we go back as often as we possibly can. Old Mesilla is an enchanting, quaint little village on the edge of Las Cruces, New Mexico. It is the most charming little town I've ever been to! The plaza is amazing, there's so many little shoppes and restaurants, there's always something to do. You can't miss visiting the old Catholic Mission, it's really breathetaking. Also, the atmosphere is so calming and everyone is incredibly nice. I highly recommend the Casa de Rosie bed and breakfast, it's the perfect place to stay since it's both very close to the historic plaza and keeps to the theme of Old Mesilla, the super comfy beds are a huge plus as well. I haven't found a restaurant here that I don't like yet. The Double Eagle Restaurant simply cannot be missed! It's the oldest building on the plaza and filled with gorgeous antiques and artwork.
